72 Hours of Prayer

A hospital bed

International Worker, Maida Anderson attends a small Alliance church on the outskirts of Madrid, Spain. Carlos*, a man in their congregation, was stricken with COVID-19 and ended up in ICU.

In late April, the doctors called Carlo’s wife to say that they didn’t think he would make it through the night. She called on the church to pray and they opened a 24-hour prayer room on Zoom. There was someone in that room praying non-stop for the first seventy-two hours and then intermittently for the next five weeks. Carlos made it through that crisis and slowly recovered. He was released from the hospital on May 27th!

He still has a long road to complete recovery, so the church continues to pray. Pray for Carlos and other victims of COVID-19, as well as for the families of those who did not recover. Pray also that Carlos will have a powerful testimony of God’s care, and that people in Spain and around the world, will see their need for Jesus in these tumultuous days.

Because salvation is found in no one else.
